While I am native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia, China and India are my biggest producers. I delight your taste buds with my citrusy and spicy fragrance. I can be found not only in your main dishes but also in your desserts and drinks. My warm aroma with a woody and fresh note is found in Indian and Asian cuisines. In fact, I am an essential ingredient in curry powder and other spice blends, and can be found in gingerbread, cookies, cakes, puddings, pickles and many Asian vegetable dishes.

I am used as a dietary supplement for my antiemetic properties, which have been known in Chinese pharmacopoeia for centuries.
