Description

I am a unique ingredient that gives that special flavor to fall desserts and savory dishes like Jamaican Jerk chicken and Swedish meatballs.

I am harvested green and lightly fermented, then dried in the sun, giving me a reddish-brown color. Pungent, I am composed mainly of an aroma known as eugenol, also found in cloves. I am said to be both fresh and pungent with woody notes.
